Let’s face it if you’re writing regular content for your website it’s hard work isn’t it?
Eight Easy Ways Repurpose Your Blog Content

Having to be informative, entertaining and educational … no wonder people put it off or don’t do it all.

I wrote here way back in 2018 about my Top Tips For Creating Blog Content For Your Business if you need to read first.

There’s not a better feeling  than seeing your website's organic traffic channel begin to grow and the best thing about organic visitors is they usually hang around to find out everything about you. The reason they are there is because it's more than likely part of a research processand your fabulous content has attracted their eye.

Creating regular content for your blog gives you a ton of content goodness to repurpose and push out everywhere else.

We Call It The 'Rinse & Repeat' Method
Let me explain ...

I always advise people to think about their website first.

By thinking website first and using that as the starting point for your content it means this in a nutshell ...  with every post you are adding another page and more keywords for Google to rank you for. There’s no way that adding more informative and engaging content to your website is ever going to work against you. Let that sink in. Think of all those questions your customers ask you time and again. That's great blog content just waiting to be written.

Blog posts can/should be the corner stone of your content strategy and when crafted well will work really hard for you.

Once you publish a piece of blog content  you can then slice and dice them and repurpose them like this:

1. First step is we make sure that we optimise the post for SEO with relevant title and meta description.

2. Then, we create various intro snippets for it across our social media channels. We usually go into more depth on LinkedIn which drives the most traffic to our website and where we have the most in app conversations. We use a mixture of text and visual graphics for these.

3. We add a link in our email signatures.

4. A few weeks later one of us might add it as a LinkedIn article or presentation.

5. To save time I will cross post from Instagram to Facebook as our audience is very similar but  always remove the hashtags and re-tag wherever possible.

6. If you're into streaming you can turn blog posts into video using graphics. A great tool for this is Biteable. Or create a simple video talking to camera where you discuss the blog post. We've started doing this for our podcast, It's In the Genes. It now has it's own YouTube channel off the back of this. And here's an embed in a blog post which really could be tip 7!

7. We split the video we create for Youtube into shorter formats that we can share across social. Works well for Instagram and Instagram Stories for us.

8. Add it into your newsletter campaigns.

Voilà ... you now have eight easy ways to re-purpose your blog content.

Now you simplya create one piece of content and then have these eight ways to Rinse & Repeat and repurpose. Remember, that due to the nature of the various platform algorithms all of your followers don't get to see your content at the same time.

Imagine you only even published just one blog post a month and you were able to spin out all this further content from it?

Once More For Those At the Back ... Rinse & Repeat Your Blog Content
Then there's this to think about ...

Imagine your content getting in front of new eyes and ears all the time.. that's great, right? Now imagine it also keeps falling in front of just one person, continually and they like what they see/hear/read about you and your business. Maybe they go on to become your best customer ever. Imagine. Also imagine if you never wrote that blog content to get those eyes and ears on it in the first place.

Make a start today on writing and repurposing blog content. You will never regret it.
