The Digital Gene Has Evolved With A New Director On Board

Back in January we changed our name to The Digital Gene.

For so long our name no longer was a fit for our business model. I wrote about it here.

I also mentioned how we would be welcoming a new director to the company and yesterday we are pleased to confirm that this big step took place.

We were unsure whether we should still press ahead as we are now in the middle of the weirdest thing that has ever happened to the world of work, indeed the modern world as we know it. We gave it a lot of thought and we decided that we all needed just to press on and celebrate the positive.

Everyone loves a good news story and  now more so than ever.

The only thing we couldn't do was get a photo of us together. That was planned last week and because of the COVID-19 lockdown it didn't happen. The only other photos most recent were from our Christmas freelancer bash!

 

So it is with great pleasure that we welcome  Gary Vance as our new Technical Director.

Many people on Teesside will already know Gary through his own web development and software solutions business, Clear Chaos, which he founded in 2004 and his membership of various BNI groups.

I've collaborated with Gary on many projects in the last 15 years of knowing him so it is a delight that we have joined forces together.

We are committed to continue to offer a high-quality, professional service and on a mission to become one of the best web design and software development companies to grow out of Teesside and the North East. 

My own role will continue to be that of orchestrating overall operational activities and working alongside Gary on projects as well as working with our Associate, Sarah Carlton on brand and design.

We’ll also continue spreading our wings into Yorkshire with Declan developing business out of Leeds. 

For everything outside of our core services of web design and development, software solutions, branding and design we have a growing team of fabulous, hand picked people of the highest calibre in their field of work. 

I always knew that I wanted our business model to be transparent and refreshing.
